Niche strategy for financial advisors

I shrink advisors’ markets so their businesses grow.

I help established advisors whose growth has stalled break out of the commoditization trap by finding their natural niche.

What advisors say

“We provide comprehensive insurance and financial security solutions.”

What clients hear

“Bla bla bla.”

Only 15–30% of advisors have built a niche business based on specialized expertise. Niche positions tend to be less crowded and more profitable.

Case study · Meet Fred

From saying yes to everything to Retirement Income Strategist

Fred was a conventional advisor who said yes to every client while building his business. When it plateaued, we found his natural niche: Canadians in or within 5–10 years of retirement with $1–2 million in wealth.

Fred isn’t his real name, but he’s a real advisor.

$250M+
in investment assets, plus a thriving insurance practice
40 yrs
in business, retiring with transferable value
His hook

“Others focus on getting you to retirement. We get you through retirement.”

Francis D’Andrade
About

Hi, I’m Francis D’Andrade.

I ran sales, marketing and communications at a national investment boutique, where advisors referred their clients to our Private Client business. Advisors often asked me for help presenting themselves, and it grew into a program we built to help them stand out.

What I learned: remarkable advisors don’t build their business on products and services. They build specialized niches around people’s problems. Helping advisors find theirs is the work that never feels like working, so I made it my niche.
